Miguel and Naara contacted us from Santander, with a very clear idea of what they were looking for for their new home. They needed a piece that would divide a space, creating a hallway on one side and a living room on the other, without the division being completely opaque.
They presented us with a preliminary sketch of how they envisioned this furniture, and from the very beginning, we thought the idea and the general outline of the piece were very fitting. Based on this initial sketch, we offered several proposals, and they opted for a design consisting of a solid and substantial base upon which the reticular structure of the shelving unit rests.
In this case, the experience was very gratifying for us because the clients had very defined criteria and were attentive to details. Not only to the constructive details of the piece, but also to how these affect spatial perception. With this in mind, the project development is very collaborative, and the email chain involved is long, but it has the reward of knowing that you are working with clients who will appreciate every single detail of the piece.
We decided to build the piece in two blocks: the base and the shelving unit, which made the installation very simple. Nevertheless, we decided to travel to Santander to install it personally, and it served as an excuse to meet the clients in person, which is one of the great pleasures of our work.
